The National Skills Council proudly launched the first workshop in a series titled ‘Embedding Sustainability through School Management’. This initiative, held in collaboration with experts from the Centre for Environmental Education & Research, University of Malta, is a vital step in fostering sustainable practices within schools. Attending the workshop were senior leadership representatives from St Nicholas College, St Ignatius College, St Benedict College, and the Global Citizenship Education team. The workshop underscored the critical role of school leaders as change-makers in promoting sustainability. As society faces mounting environmental challenges, the need for school leaders to model sustainable behaviours has never been greater. Their influence extends beyond schools, inspiring peers and communities to embrace greener practices. Education for Sustainable Development is not just a concept; it is a call to action. The workshop focused on providing educators with the tools and insights necessary to champion sustainability within their schools and communities, creating a ripple effect of positive change.
